Window Maker is a lightweight X-window manager suitable for machines with no great CPU.
Install windowMaker
emerge windowmaker
env-update && source /etc/profile
Set windowMaker as the default X-window interface:
edit /etc/rc.conf and change
XSESSION="wmaker"
Start an X session
startx
